Who We Serve
TNGCF serves individuals and families in Kansas City's most underserved communities, neighborhoods where zip codes have historically determined destinies. Our participants are adults facing interconnected barriers across housing, employment, health, education, and financial stability.

Ideal Participants
- Adults (18+) facing housing instability or poverty
- Individuals seeking comprehensive life transformation
- People ready to commit to self-paced learning
- Those willing to become mentors after graduation
- Kansas City metro residents (priority)
- Anyone who believes zip codes shouldn’t determine destinies™
Requirements
- Complete the Academy intake assessment (20 minutes)
- Attend monthly community sessions
- Access to internet (we can help)
- Commitment to complete coursework
- Willingness to participate in evaluation
- Open to becoming a mentor
The Academy launches in 2027, pending funding. Join our interest list to be notified when applications open. The Academy is free for participants.
What happens next: participants learn in the Academy ( we teach), walk with a mentor after graduation ( we mentor), and are matched to services and employers ( we connect).
