Dr. Troy Nash was mentored, and now he mentors. The Foundation builds that same chain on purpose: volunteers mentor Academy graduates, and graduates mentor the next cohort.

Trained and Screened

Every mentor completes orientation. Anyone in direct contact with participants passes a background check first.

The Mentor Pathway

  1. Months 1 to 12: the participant completes the Academy, with monthly community sessions for peer support.
  2. After graduation: a volunteer mentor walks alongside them for 6 to 12 months.
  3. Year 2 and beyond: the graduate becomes a mentor to a new participant. Each one, teach one.
Where we are: the mentor network launches with the Academy in 2027, pending funding. Our mentoring target will be set from the first cohort's results after Year 1. A funder can name the Mentor Network ($30,000, 3-year naming).
