We are a new foundation. Year One is 2027, pending funding. We are asking you to invest in a methodology grounded in the lived experience of Dr. Troy Nash, his mother Charlotte and his three older brothers, now being built into programs for the community.
From Section 8 to Systems Change

Section 8 Housing
Dr. Troy Nash grew up in the same Kansas City communities the Foundation now serves. He experienced poverty, housing instability, and systemic barriers firsthand.
U.S. Air Force Veteran
Military service provided discipline, opportunity, and a pathway to education. The foundation of transformation was laid.
Lifting Others While Rising
Before completing his own education, Dr. Nash helped his older brothers enroll in college. He enrolled his mother in school and helped her earn her GED. Transformation was always about more than himself.
8 Degrees + 1 in Progress
Eight degrees, with a ninth in progress, including an M.P.H. from Brown University, M.S. in Nonprofit Leadership from the University of Pennsylvania School of Social Policy & Practice (Currently Pursuing). Education became the vehicle for transformation.
Former Kansas City City Councilman
From housing instability to presiding over nearly $10 billion in development as chair of the Planning, Zoning & Economic Development Committee. Proof that transformation creates leaders.
Barrier Broken
First African-American to become a partner in a top 10 commercial real estate firm in the history of the State of Missouri, at Newmark Zimmer. Some barriers stand for generations, until someone decides to break them.

Why This Leadership Matters
When you invest in TNGCF, you are funding the first cohort of a program built on lived experience.
Lived Experience = Credibility
Participants trust leaders who've walked their path. Dr. Nash isn't studying poverty. He escaped it. That authenticity drives engagement and outcomes.
Experience Across Sectors
Our co-founder brings housing development and technology experience from his work outside the Foundation. That experience informs the Academy curriculum. It does not direct Foundation funds. One hundred percent of charitable contributions to TNGCF are used for Foundation programs and operations, and any transaction with a related organization will be approved by the disinterested members of the Board at fair market value once the Board is seated; none is approved before then.

Governance & Board Structure
The Nash Group Community Foundation, Inc. is in its founding year. The following describes our planned governance structure as the founding Board of Directors is seated.
Interim Governance
Dr. Troy Nash, CEO & Co-Founder, currently serves as interim governance. The bylaws are drafted and will be adopted by the founding Board. He will transition oversight to the founding Board of Directors as independent directors are seated.
Planned Committee Structure
Once the board is seated, TNGCF will establish standing committees for Finance, Audit, Governance, and Program. Committees will operate under written charters and report to the full board.
Related-Party Disclosure
Dr. Troy Nash serves as founder and interim governance and is also a principal of The Nash Group, LLC and AGI Affinity, LLC. As independent directors are seated, TNGCF will apply its conflict-of-interest policy, and related parties will recuse themselves from votes in which they have a personal interest.
Board Meeting Cadence
The Board of Directors plans to meet no less than quarterly, with additional meetings as needed. Minutes will be recorded and retained as part of the organization’s governing records.
