Our Mission. Our Vision. Our Values.
We don't just talk about breaking cycles— we prove it.
Three generations. One family. A system that works.
Our Mission
To break the cycles of poverty, inequity, and limited opportunity by empowering individuals and families with the tools, resources, and support they need to thrive.
The Nash Group Community Foundation was born from lived experience —not theory. Our CEO, Dr. Troy Nash, grew up in Section 8 housing. Today, he holds nine advanced degrees and has developed over $100 million in affordable housing. His daughter Arielle serves as President, and his grandson Asher represents the third generation of a family that proves transformation is possible.
We focus on eight interconnected domains that research shows are essential for lasting change: housing stability, economic mobility, health and wellness, education access, digital equity, food security, social capital, and community safety.
"Most foundations ask you to believe them. We ask you to verify us. Our family is living proof that zip codes don't have to determine destinies."
Through our signature From Struggle to Success Academy™, we deliver comprehensive programming that addresses the root causes of generational poverty—not just the symptoms. We measure what matters, publish our outcomes, and hold ourselves accountable to the communities we serve.
A world where every family —regardless of zip code, background, or circumstance—has the opportunity to build generational wealth, health, and success.
We envision thriving communities where children have access to quality education and nutrition, where parents have stable careers and safe housing, where grandparents remain digitally connected, and where neighbors support one another. This isn't utopia—it's what happens when systems work for people instead of against them.
The Principles That Guide Us
These aren't words on a wall. They're commitments we live every day—and we invite you to hold us to them.
Lived Experience
We lead with empathy rooted in personal journey. Our leadership has walked the path from struggle to success, bringing authenticity and understanding to every program we design.
Radical Transparency
We publish our financials, outcomes, and methodologies. We don't hide behind vague impact statements—we show you exactly where every dollar goes and what it achieves.
Data-Driven Impact
We measure what matters. Every program is built on evidence-based practices and evaluated against clear outcomes. If it doesn't work, we change it.
Family-Centered Transformation
We don't serve individuals in isolation—we strengthen entire families across generations. When one member rises, they lift others with them. Our three-generation leadership model proves that transformation multiplies.
Community Partnership
We work alongside communities, not above them. The people closest to the challenges are closest to the solutions. We listen, learn, and collaborate.
Holistic Approach
Poverty is interconnected—so is our solution. Our eight-domain model addresses housing, health, education, employment, food, digital access, social capital, and safety together.
Sustainable Change
We build systems, not dependencies. Our goal is to equip families with lasting skills, resources, and networks so they can thrive independently and pay it forward.
Accountability
We answer to the communities we serve, the donors who trust us, and the mission we've committed to. When we fall short, we own it, learn from it, and improve.
We believe that zip codes don't determine destinies —and our family is living proof. Now we're building systems to make that truth accessible to everyone.
Join the Transformation
Every partnership creates opportunity. Every donation helps a family find stability. Together, we break cycles and build futures.
