Riccardo Lucas
Alpha Development Co-Founder • Federal Programs • Youth Mentorship
From the streets to the boardroom. Now reaching back to help young people find their way out.
From the Streets to Service
Riccardo Lucas knows what it means to overcome.
Growing up, he faced the kind of challenges that break most people— a childhood marked by hardship, instability, and the pull of the streets. The odds were stacked against him. The statistics said he wouldn't make it.
But Riccardo made a choice: he would turn his life around, and then he would reach back to help others do the same.
Reaching Back
Today, Riccardo is a passionate advocate for young adults trying to escape the streets.
He speaks to youth groups. He mentors young men. He shares his story as proof that where you start doesn't have to determine where you finish.
His message is simple and direct: "The streets will take everything from you. But there's another path. I'm living proof."
Government Relations & Public Funding
Professionally, Riccardo has built deep expertise in government relations and public funding. As Co-Founder of Alpha Development, he has built relationships across city, county, state, and federal government.
He's been instrumental in securing funding for Nash Group projects including The Mabion and Promise Place —crafting incentive packages through the Housing Trust Fund, Central City Sales Tax, and building the partnership with KCATA for transit-oriented development.
His federal program expertise and congressional office relationships open doors that most developers never even know exist.
